This is a beautiful handcrafted, laser-cut heart-shaped trinket or jewelry box, approximately 5 inches across. It is made from a combination of Purple Heart wood (the rich, deep purple-brown body and sides) and curly maple (the lighter, pale blond top panel with intricate laser-cut filigree patterns).
The lid features an elaborate swirling floral or vine-like design cut out with a laser, creating a delicate, lace-like effect that allows light to filter through while showcasing the figured grain of the curly maple. The contrast between the vibrant purple tones of the Purple Heart and the shimmering, chatoyant (wavy) figure of the curly maple is striking and elegant.
